Marcia Gay Harden

Marcia Gay Harden was born on August 14 1959, in La Jolla, California, the fifth child of five. Beverly Bushfield, her mother employed as a domestic worker, while Thad Harold Harden was employed in the military. Her family moved frequently. While they were in Greece, she became interested with theater and went to Athens plays. Harden began her studies at American colleges in Europe but returned to the US for her final education at the University of Texas in 1983; went on to earn an MFA from NYU in the following year, and then, embarked on her career as an actor. Miller's Crossing was the Coen Brothers comedy that cleverly paid homage to the 1990 film about gangsters, Miller's Crossing. Although Harden appeared in movies since 1986 (in the lesser-known The Imagemaker), she appeared as a seductive woman in the film as her first mainstream performance. Harden's gorgeous portrayal as Verna the mysterious and gorgeous mole, garnered positive evaluations. Harden then continued to perform consistently as a supporting character, such as playing Ava Gardner in Sinatra (1992) A biopic that aired on TV that focused on Frank Sinatra. Marcia Marcia Marcia
