Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America is an actress and singer. Born and raised in Huntington Woods Michigan as the daughter of Lorelei Frygier - a nurse - and Tom Bell - a television director. She is an American actor and singer. She has Polish (mother's) and German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen developed a talent for the arts at an early age on stage. She attended her audition in 1992 and got a role on Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell's mother introduced her to an agent before she was 13, and she got her first role in newspaper advertisements and television commercials. Additionally, she began to take acting lessons privately. Bell was credited with a minor part in the film Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School, which was where she participated in drama and music club. The Wizard of Oz was staged by her high school and she won the role as Dorothy. Bell was then transferred into New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She was a musical theatre student there. Bell dropped out of studying in the year 2001 and took on the part of Becky who is a character from Tom Sawyer. In the same year, she starred in Pootie Tang however, the scene in which Bell played the role was removed. As a result, there is only a credit sequence. Bell was seen together with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
